Pat McKinney is an artist/illustrator whose artistic journey started in Chicago, IL. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather and mother, he pursued an art degree and graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in 2015 with a B.F.A. in Illustration. He soon met/befriended Pat Milbery, who introduced him to the So Gnar (Creative Division) Team and the world of street art; the duo quickly began collaborating on a variety of projects. With an abundance of inspiration and creative drive, atop a newfound love for spray painting, McKinney’s hard work started to show around Denver and he's been making the city a more colorful place ever since. He brings a playful and free spirited style to the Creative Division drawing board, influencing both the design stage and execution stage of the team's projects while absorbing every bit of artistry that he can from his veteran partners along the way. McKinney also works as a independent artist, composing commissions such as portraits, concert posters, storybook illustrations, paintings, logo designs, and more for clients. He thrives on pushing boundaries and creating artwork that inspires not only himself, but the whole community around him.
